Random pictures from the month of August

This month we enjoyed a last little bit of summer and then Dan headed back to work at Greenbrier Christian Academy. He will start teaching next week. He is teaching 11th and 12th grade Bible. I have been getting used to staying at home with the kids all day again, and we have been having a good time together. Peter is taking off in his speech development and it is fun being able to communicate with him. We are also working on potty training with him, and have had a little bit of success, but still have a long way to go. Andrew has learned how to say bye-bye, uh-oh, and yay. It is really cute to see him try to talk.

OK, I just had to post this bath time picture, what a cutie! The paci hardly ever leaves his mouth, even at bathtime.

Peter really loved going to the Zoo. Sorry I did not get any pics with him and the animals. I was too busy chasing him and keeping him out of trouble. His favorite animals were the prarie dogs and the really huge pigs.

Summer Vacation 2009

This year we spent two fun-filled weeks at my parent's home in Tennessee. We were able spend some quality time with many of our family members, including a short trip to Mississippi to visit my grandparents. Dan and I were able to go out together a lot (on dates and an overnight trip for our 5th anniversary), as my parents were happy to watch the boys for us. I also enjoyed being a part of Courtney Shepherd Sharrett's wedding as a bridesmaid. Loved getting to spend time with Courtney (a long time BFF) and with other friends I had not seen in a long time.

Dan's parents and Bob, Janelle and Olivia came to see us for a couple of days during our trip. We had a going away party for Jim and Karen as they will be leaving for Brazil soon as missionaries.
